KG, PP, Ray Ray!
You’re all very old, geriatric for basketball
you might say; I would agree.
Remember when we won the title? When we were winners?
Ray with the three, PP with the drive, KG: the defensive stop.
The chemistry was a perfect concoction
until the leg snapped
and the team cracked.
So now your green lettering is fading
and the banners are hanging limp
as if conceding defeat.
The window is closing like on a cold,
worn down day.
Maybe as the weather warms
You will get fresh air.
