Aitana Martinez

9/11

She codes then breathes again.

Flying to save her life I see

the ambulance through the

drapes of smoke.

The lives that will never

make a memory.

The pile of shattered glass

and bricks become a building.

People scream as they see their

lives flash before them as the plane

approaches.

People get on the plane not

knowing what awaits them.

Embracing goodbye not knowing

they will never return.
