Talking With Waffles

Talking with Waffles

Oh what a worthy waffle,
It would not be so awful,
To just have a taste,
You shouldn’t go to waste.

Pancake’s long-lost cousin,
I could probably eat a dozen,
Syrup swirled in a buttery blend,
A waffle’s very best friend.

Recently, while reminiscing,
I realized your corners are always missing,
Where do they go?
It must be your adhesive dough.

It was nice talking with you,
But I’m late and I must say adieu,
You want to believe it’s just a yawn,
But then, chomp, you’re gone.
