Basketball

I am a basketball player
Living on a prayer
The ballers make me dare
To jump high in the air
But that just isn’t fair
All they can do is stare
As if I’m running in a race
Starting in first place

I move like my flow
All these people want to know
How I flash past their eyes
Making them quiver in their thighs
Then I say goodbye
Keeping my eyes on the prize
I rise into the sky
Over the whites of their eyes
I witness them cry inside
Roll over and die
As I soar by
I dunk it in their face
Then realize
I’m alive
