Jon Bristow

Battleship

Small, stainless steel warrior,
Headed to battle.
Like so many others,
Just so different in shape.

However, in battle,
It will only be an assistant.
It will aid its fellow utensils
In their war against work.

For concealed below its solid metal decks
It contains a tool,
More useful than even its tiny turrets
Or its detailed, well carved exterior.

Below its decks
Lies a pencil sharpener.
