Betrayal

I sit down at my desk,
And turn on the light.
Textbooks glare back at me.
Each one scary,
Each one intimidating.
I reach out for my Biology book-
A one thousand page behemoth,
But my hand betrays me,
And turns on the radio.
To the left I see my carpet-
Littered with clothes and papers.
Above them is my closet,
Staring down,
Demanding organization.
Inside are revealed to be,
Neat rows of clothes,
Stacked on top of each other,
Hanging side by side.
My bed is cluttered like my floor,
Abundant in blankets and pillows.
I see my bookshelf,
Harry Potter smiles at me,
I reach out to grab him,
But-
My hand stops,
I should be studying.
Sigh…
I open my Biology book…
