Lisa W. Herkimer Diamond HuntingClear clean polished sky
With tiny white fluffs floating across it
Through sheltering tree branches holding millions of leaves
Ribbons of sun sneaking their way through
Dirt paths stomped into the forest
Leading to an open field of earth
Mini mountains cover the landscape
Big rocks
Chips off them scatter the ground
Little hills
Scattered foliage
The sound of metal hitting rock
Making a little white dent in a sea of brown
Outstretched rays of sun revealing a tiny glimmer in the ground
A faint cry of existence
A diamond in the rough
