Predator vs. Prey

They circle you like vulltures,
Preying on you,
Measuring their attack.

Screeching, with passion and energy,
While the rest of the herd watches in laughter,
Thankful for being spared of selection.

Like a sitting duck,
Unexpecting,
All you can do is watch in terror, fearful of the possibilities,
And pray they leave, but it's too late.

Singing Valentines.
