Broken Ulna

Two O’clock in the afternoon on Sunday January 10th, 2010
In the waiting room at the ER
Icing my wrist just hoping that it's nothing bad
Having to tell and answer the same question over twenty times
What Happened? How and Where?
For some people I told an exciting story
But for others they just got the embarrassing truth
Upon entering the hospital all I could hear were babies crying and and people moaning
The people in the hospital were sympathetic
They offered us drinks and food
The drink was Hot Chocolate and the Food was mostly cookies
But the drinks led to a seven hour stay at the hospital
I split the bone connecting my arm and my wrist
They had to reset the bone
But of course…
In order to reset the bones, you must not eat or drink for four hours
I felt bad for having my mom sit in the hospital for seven hours
So I let her watch the show that she wanted
Four hours of HGTV
So now at this time I’m in double pain
One from my arm and now another from the awful shows
And finally it's about seven thirty when they start to hook me up to all sorts of machines
They drug me and I'm passed out
When I woke up, I didn’t remember a thing
And I had this huge cast on my left arm all the way up past my elbow
I could barely move my fingers
An hour of waiting passes and it's almost nine
They release me only to tell me to come back three days later
