Sailing Dreamward

The world turns sideways,

Now the black bars are here.

The past blends together.

The future remains unclear.

And the present is no better

As the visions begin to appear:

          Zebra moose fish squirrel

          Oh look there’s a train.

These are the thoughts swimming in my brain:

There is quite a lot of string

          On this insect airplane.

And now the memories come

Causing considerable pain.

The world turns sideways

And is consumed by darkness.

Within this stomach of dusk

Awaits the womb of dreams.
