Tell Me

Tell me I can’t get up at eight in the morning on a weekend.

Tell me that I won’t walk a mile to practice.

Tell me that I won’t stay until the place closes.

Tell me I’m not six feet tall.

Tell me I can’t bench press 185 pounds.

Tell me I can’t break 13 seconds.

Tell me I can’t jump over two feet.

Tell me I’m terrible.

Tell me I’ll never make it.

Tell me I’ll never play.

Tell me I’ll never start.

Tell me to stop working until everything’s perfect.

Tell me to stop working until I’m perfect.

Tell me to stop believing.

Tell me to stop dreaming.

Then,

Tell me to listen.
