No Ordinary Sight...

It came from thin air,
Parking outside the house in its proper place.
Sparkling chrome rims glitter in the sun like new cut glass,
The midnight black paint job intimidating the passersby.
The black interior seduces the rider with the depth of its luxury.
A gold-plated key is turned and the response is heard:
An animal, ready to strike its prey.
Driving, with the tiniest acceleration, racing to life,
Twin mufflers asserting their presence.
A blur of speed and then aggression scents the air
Here, then gone.
Was it an optimistic dream or wistful thinking?
Too good to be true?
No, it’s mine; all mine.
