Still Improving

Life is like the runner,

Stretching his legs at the start,

Beginning, at a pace so fast,

Always improving.

Now he’s really moving,

The last-place runner passing,

Always improving.

Turning the corner, the wind in his face,

And planning his attack,

Still always improving.

Urged on by fans crowding the track,

His efforts climaxing, years of training paying off,

Golden victory,

Still improving.
