Anubhav Jain SnowThe black clouds roll over the horizon
Blocking the bright marble in the sky
The clouds prepare to drop their loads
As they look up,
The children are excited
While the parents fret the coming days
The crystalline drops start to fall
Far up in the sky
They freeze on their descent down
The unique figures landing in a random pattern
Looking like feathers drifting down from the heavens
The organized chaos blocks everyone’s vision
The particles disappear when they touch us
No one knows when the invasion will end
Hours pass by and people go to sleep
Everything gets blanketed by a white sheet
As the snow illuminates the night.
