A Rain Drop

Why does a raindrop fall from the sky?

Maybe she descends with a longing to fly.

She plunges through the vast open night,

And carries a job manual to recite.

She must pitter and patter and trickle and splash,

And make an impact in her last final crash.

As she begins to fulfill her destiny

She will finally have a chance to be free;

To run in a river, to float in the sea,

Or to rest on the leaves of a maple tree.

                               ~~~
Or perhaps she has fallen just to shed her light
Onto the grass to make his aura more bright.
