Wall Ball

Everyday I wake up to play,
to play a game,
a game that isn’t really a game,
a game that gets boring,
boring because it is repetitive,
repetitive in its actions,
actions are throwing,
throwing then catching,
catching then a cradle,
a cradle then throwing,
throwing and doing it all again,
again, I drop the ball,
dropping the ball is frustrating,
frustration makes me want to quit,
quitting wouldn’t get me to my dream,
my dream of playing in college,
in college I want to play,
to play lacrosse,
lacrosse is what I wake up for every morning,
every morning I wake up to play wall ball,
wall ball is the game.
